Last Thursday, our life skills students attended Pre-Prom at the Indiana Country Club. This prom originated many years ago to allow life skills students to be able to be introduced and get the social skills to attend the “regular” prom without the flashing lights and loud music that the school-sponsored prom held in May has. Three couples attended this event: Brandon Adams escorting Maggie Shadle, AJ Knapik escorting Camryn Sacco, and Caleb Steffish escorting Abby Fabri.

Rhonda Reinholtz from Marion Center is actually the one who nudged this idea into existence and it has been a huge success since its conception. Since then, more and more schools have sent their students there and now almost every school in Indiana and Armstrong Counties send students to attend the pre-prom. This idea is also spread all over the country and many parts of the world. These events have helped the life skills students of America to

The students got to spend about five hours there enjoying the festivities that came with the prom. We send huge thanks to all of the people that make this happen every year including, but not limited to: Mrs. Bauer, Mr. Magolis, Mr. Peterson, and all those who organize the event itself. We hope to see this happen for many more years to come and get to see our own Marion Center High School be represented by these amazing students.
