Earlier in the countdown to Christmas break, we talked about Christmas traditions from places around the world, but today we’ll be focusing on what kind of weather six other countries get to experience from year to year during the Christmas season.
1. Brazil
Brazil is known for its tropical rainforest’s bright culture. During December, temperatures usually range from 65-95 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to Brazil’s warm weather during the Christmas season, Brazil becomes a busy city, full of tourists during this time of year. However, Brazil often experiences rainy weather during this time of year.
2. England
During the Christmas season England’s weather tends to range from the mid-forties to upper thirties. However, temperatures may reach below freezing during some nights and people will wake up to a ground covered in frost.
3. Egypt
December is one of the coldest months in Egypt. Highs usually range around the upper sixties, while lows are around the low fifties. However, temperatures can drop a bit lower during the night.
4. China
During the Christmas season high temperatures average around the lower forties and higher thirties. The lows usually range from 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures almost never drop below 11 degrees Fahrenheit. The ground in most places in China is blanketed in snow this time of year.
5. Mexico
Daily temperatures in Mexico during December range from 77 degrees Fahrenheit to 68 degrees Fahrenheit. They get to enjoy a warm, sunny Christmas most years.
6. Hawaii
If you’re looking for a great place for a beach vacation in December, Hawaii would be a great choice! Usually, temperatures will not drop below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and temperatures typically will not advance into the high eighties or nineties.
Now that you’ve explored what the weather is like in other countries this time of year, maybe you’re wishing you were in a warm, tropical place like Hawaii. Don’t worry though, there’s lots of things you can do to stay warm this holiday season. Cozy up with some fuzzy socks and warm blankets. Try sipping on some hot cocoa by the fireplace and enjoy this cold but wonderful season!
