Cheersport 2023 in Review
During the weekend of February 18-19, students at Marion Center High School competed in Atlanta, Georgia, in one of the largest cheerleading competitions in the country, CHEERSPORT! These students, Cheyenne Pruner, Mckenna Boring, Lillan Coble, and Athena Shipley are members of Turners Allstars of Indiana (TAI), an all-star cheerleading gym in Indiana.
CHEERSPORT was founded in 1993 by all-star coaches who loved competitive cheer, and who believed they could conduct competitions that would be better for the athletes, coaches, and spectators. Athletes from all over the country worked beyond hard to perfect their routines, in hopes of leaving with a National championship title. TAI did just that this weekend.
TAI left with not just one, but three National Titles. TAI Ice Queens took first place in the Senior Level 4 small D2 division. Cheyenne Pruner, Athena Shipley, Mckenna Boring, and Lillian Coble are all TAI athletes and represented Marion Center very well. These ladies have earned their way to winning bids to compete at the National Cheerleaders Association competition in Dallas, Texas, from February 24-26.
