Molly Spence, Editor-In-Chief
“I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way and show compassion, it will start a chain reaction of the same.” -Rachel Joy Scott
Hello, welcome to The Stinger! My name is Molly Spence, and I am a class of 2026 senior and the Editor-in-Chief of The Stinger Newspaper. Previously, I served for two years as the Assistant Editor.
I am passionate about helping others find their voice and feel like they truly matter, which has inspired me to devote my life to education. I aspire to be an art educator one day and eventually become a school guidance counselor. In addition to the newspaper staff, I am involved in the Marion Center Mean Green Marching Machine as a section leader and feature twirler for the color guard, and in United Way’s Students United Leadership Team. I was selected as the Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Council Representative Runner-Up for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), becoming the first student from Marion Center to achieve this recognition.
Outside of school, I am a competitive baton twirler, Co-Founder of the Catching Fire Drill Team, and serve as the head coach and head majorette. IÂ also love ducks. Spending time with my duck is a big part of my life.
